Art At The August 12th Art Hop

The August Art Hop promises to be one busy evening! In addition to the many musical guests, be sure to visit these locations and their art:

Hudson Fine Art & Framing will host its 3rd annual photography show with work by award-winning nature photographer Rob Blair and Cleveland-based Lens Buddies.

Artist Shannon Casey often finds herself inspired by music, which she then incorporates into her imaginative paintings. Sometimes, even sheet music is added to the canvas! Stop by Uncommon Art (above Hudson Oriental Rugs) to see her musically inspired art and a whimsical “moon river”.

Learned Owl will host Cleveland Street Glass, a unique collection of jewelry made from glass broken during car break ins. Her unique process turns these shards into gorgeous, one-of-a-kind art. Catch a glimpse of the artist at work in this video:

Russell Real Estate Services is pleased to host colorful abstract paintings by Anthony Martino. Martino has an intuitive feel for color and form. His spontaneous painting style and joyful colors convey a sense of wonder, enjoyment, and visual pleasure.

MOD: Matter of Design will feature work by Lila Rose, Chris Weigand and Paul Duda.

At Hudson Park Center, The Red Twig will show pastel drawings by Linda Lyell, Board President of the Akron Civic Theatre. Linda finds her inspiration in nature, turning flowers and landscapes into fresh, expressive art. You’ll fall in love with them!

Live.Dream.Create has invited Brenda Pokorny to show her mosaic art that is inspired by travel and nature. Using tiles make of glass, ceramic, and porcelain, she creates animals, birdbaths, and jewelry.

At Olive My Heart, artist Nicole Corbell of The Tin Sparrow will bring her nature-inspired embossed wood and metal artwork. She uses metal sheets to create reliefs then adds paint, stain, and acid to create color, texture, and variety.

And, remember, after this Art Hop, the final Holiday Hop of 2016 will be held on Friday, December 9.
